Welcome to Wilshire Family Dental |
Our Response to Covid-19
To Our Wilshire Dental Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. There have been many changes in our community due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the past couple of months, and we want to take this opportunity to remind you that our commitment to your safety and our high standard of care remain unchanged. We began seeing patients again as of June 1st and as we slowly resume patient treatment, we would like to make you aware of the changes we have made to our office policies. Our office has always held ourselves to strict infection control standards, using universal precautions and infection control as recommended by the CDC, ADA and OSHA. As well as continuing to institute these infection control procedures, you will notice a few changes we have made throughout the office to ensure that our staff and patients are as safe and comfortable as possible.
• |
Upon appointment confirmation, you will be asked a series of questions regarding your health. If you have or have had a fever, cough, and/or general malaise, you must reschedule your appointment for when you have been symptom free for 14 days.
|
• |
We have minimized use of our waiting room and ask that you call the office when you arrive and wait outside until your healthcare provider is ready to see you. If you are accompanying a minor child, we ask that you wait inside the building and wear a mask for the duration of your visit.
|
• |
For those accompanying a minor child, furniture in the waiting room has been appropriately physically distanced and all magazines have been removed.
|
• |
We ask all patients to use hand sanitizer before entering the treatment area, and wear a mask until treatment begins. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.
|
• |
Before treatment begins, we will provide a pretreatment mouth rinse that helps reduce oral pathogens.
|
• |
A medical grade air purification system has been installed in the office.
|
• |
Staff has increased the amount/type of PPE they will be wearing for the duration of the pandemic.
|
• |
We have expanded our office treatment days for the time being to accommodate seeing fewer patients each day, with more time between each patient to allow for proper social distancing, changing of PPE and infection control measures. |
We look forward to serving you again and please call the office if you have any questions or concerns at (503) 284-6469. These are unique and difficult times, but we are in this together. Sincerely, Dr. Gehred, Katie, Renee & Cyndie
